The Pink People

I was experimenting with color shaping. I've seen a lot of people draw with shapes of color instead of with lines. It usually looks really nice so I wanted to give it a try.

The Hunched Baako of Notre Dame

Some Mole So Die redesign stuff.
I was thinking about ways I could change Baako's design to make him more interesting and dynamic. Then I came up with the idea of "what if he had a hunched back?"
So I drew that a bit.

Spooky Self

I've been trying to design a new self portrait for my personal websites. I want this portrait to have more thought put into unlike my past ones where I drew something blindly and chose to use it if I liked it.

Initially I wanted to do something that was scary. Something that would make people go "whoa." I experimented with that idea a bit. I also worked on developing a style that I would want to draw myself in.

Somewhere along the way my mind got lost and ended up drawing animal crossing things. The style was fun but I'm not sure if it'll be the style I'll chose for the final portrait.
I haven't decided on an idea that I've loved completely yet, but I'll figure something out in due time.

Two Headed

More sketches from my Night of The Hunter short story idea.
Trying to develop things more.

Here I was deciding on the shape of the crystal that fuses into Lala's head. I wanted it to be aesthetically pleasing and to fit on her forehead comfortably without cramping her face.

I started to work on the Hunter's design more as well. I want him to be a scarier character so I played with the idea of his head being made of multiple skulls grotesquely fused together. I could be representative of all of the animals that he hunted in life. Also he might gain skeletal limbs. That is still being debated.

There Be Vampires!

In Cafe Sketch we had an assignment where we designed a vampire and drew them performing different actions. The rest of the sketches can be seen on my Cafe Sketch blog.
His name is Hershey von Hearse: a short, hershey shaped vampire. I wanted to go against what I usually imagine a vampire to look, which is tall and lanky. So I made him be short and stout. He dresses in candy corn colors and loves to play golf in the middle of the night.

The Many Faces Of Knight

Knight has come to be a very expressive character.
Most likely due to the increased size of his eyes. Either way drawing the many facial expressions of Knight is starting to become my new, fun hobby.

Manny the Man

While designing Lala I decided to re-do Manny's design as well.
I wanted to experiment with different body shapes with his design.

Also a sketch of a spooky guy with a weird head.

Amadi Has Really Sharp Elbows

I was playing around with exaggeration and pushing the forms of characters. I wanted to see how ridiculous I could make them look. I focused on the Mole So Die characters because they're very shape oriented.
